The 2024 placement drive is still in progress. As per the information available on the official website of the college as of March 28, 2024, 909 job offers had been provided by various companies. A total of 204 organisations visited the university, and 860 students were hired. The median and average packages offered by IIT Dhanbad placements in 2024 were INR 12.50 LPA and INR 16.45 LPA, respectively. When comparing the institute's ranking to that of the prior year, variations have been observed in the 'Management Institutes' category. IIT ISM Dhanbad MSc cutoff 2025 has been released across various specialisations in the form of opening and closing ranks. For the students belonging to the General AI quota, the IIT JAM first round closing ranks were between 96 and 634, with M.Sc. Tech in Applied Geology being the most competitive for admission. The lower the cutoff rank, the higher the competition for that course, and vice versa. For all the MSc specialisations, the IIT Dhanbad JAM cutoff 2025 for the first round is tabulated below for the General AI category candidates.

Yes, JEE Main is required for BTech at IIT Dhanbad. Candidates seeking admission at BTech course must qualify JEE Main, students selected further need to take JEE Advanced. Based on the score secured in JEE Advanced, students are called for JoSAA Counselling.
