A really good college to study.

Placements: Placements for B.Tech is excellent but for M.Tech mostly coaching institutes arrive for recruitment. The highest package for B.Tech was around 40 lacs recruited by google and minimum was 4 lacs , it varies according to branch. For M.Tech the highest salary package offered was 8.5 lacs per annum and minimum went upto 3 lacs. This college also provides wonderful internships opportunities like ONGC, NTPC etc. So it will give you wide exposure if you are capable enough to grasp it.

Infrastructure: This college was established in 1926 and it has an excellent infrastructure. The departmental labs are well equipped. Health centre is inside the college campus only and doctors are available on week days and for 24*7 emergency is always opened. IIT ISM has the largest library in Asia with extraordinary facilities. Also for extra curriculum activities Student Activity Centre is there where activities like karate, swimming, music etc. are there.

Faculty: Faculty members are very well equipped with practical knowledge but as any other college there are also few exceptional teachers who have zero knowledge so its your bad luck if you get teachers like them. Faculty members especially in mining department are mostly retired from PSUs so they have immense knowledge of tier field and provides a lot of practical knowledge.
