No doubt, 2000 rank is a decent rank in JEE Advanced exam. Candidates securing this much of rank will surely get selection at IIT Hyderabad. However, for top courses like CSE and AI, they need to secure lesser than that. Pursuing self financing M.Tech in VLSI from IIT Hyderabad is good as VLSI has scope in current industry and you are doing it from IIT, so it is better option rather than wasting 1 year.

With a JEE Mains score of 78%, it is not possible to get admission to IIT Hyderabad through the management quota. Since IITs generally take students on the basis of their performance in JEE Advanced, an initial qualification in JEE Mains is required as a prerequisite. The management quota will not be applicable to any IIT as they take students only through the entrance that each student undergoes. The fee structure for IIT Hyderabad's B.Tech courses is approximately INR 2,00,000 per year. And the total cost of attendance for the whole course is INR 8,00,000.
