There are few reasons why most of the B.Tech students are interested in IITs:

  1. Placement opportunities: Most of the MNC companies are interested in IITs as they believe the students in IIT are better at performing their tasks.
  2. Experienced Faculty: The faculty in IITs are more experienced in their subject because most of them are researchers.
  3. Laboratory facilities: The labs in IITs are really good with advanced machinery or equipment.

Unfortunately, with a preparatory rank of 100, you can not get directly admitted to any course at any IIT. ou would have to go through the preparatory course first and then wait for the subsequent year to potentially get admission, depending on your performance and available seats.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) belongs to the new-generation institutes of national importance in higher technical education. The college is nearly self-contained and also houses around 3,000 students as well as various families of faculty and also staff members. In 1959, IIT Madras was formally inaugurated by the Prof. Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific and Cultural Affairs. In 1961, the Chennai IITM was declared as an 'Institute of National Importance' by the Parliament of India. The college's reputation is quite good.

The IIT JAM tie-breaking procedures are essential for ensuring fairness and accuracy in the ranking of candidates. Here's why they are so important:

  • Maintaining Fairness:
    • When multiple candidates achieve identical scores, a system is needed to differentiate their ranks. Without a tie-breaking policy, it would be arbitrary to assign higher ranks.
    • The established criteria provide a transparent and objective method for resolving these situations.
  • Accurate Merit List Creation:
    • IIT JAM results in an All India Merit List, which determines who gets admission to prestigious programs at IITs and other institutions.
    • Accurate ranking is crucial for thi

The tie-breaking criteria for awarding the ranks to candidates scoring the same aggregate marks in a Test Paper will be as follows:
Lower negative marks, followed by NAT marks, then MSQ marks, then score in 2 marks questions, and then score in 2 marks NAT. Subsequently, if there is a tie, then DOB would be used, where, the older candidate gets better rank.
For each Test Paper, an All India Merit List will be prepared based on AIR. The number of candidates included in the All India Merit List will depend on the total number of seats available in each category (GEN/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ SC/ ST/ PwD) in a given subject. These candidates (hencefort

With a preparatory rank of 24 in the ST category for JEE Advanced, you have an excellent possibility of getting into the preparatory course of an IIT. These courses are for one year and are specifically meant for SC, ST, and PwD applicants who failed to qualify for the conventional cutoffs, with the hope of preparing them for the complete undergraduate course. On successful completion, you become eligible for admission to the B.Tech program, but the branch alloted would be subject to seat availability and your performance in the preparatory course. Generally, branches with available seats from the last intake are offered. For precise i
