In order to pursue an MSc Physics at IIT Delhi or any other IIT you typically need a background in Physics and Mahematics during your UG studies.
You generally cannot get admission to MSc. Physics in IIT's without having studied Mathematics during your BSc. It is a vital requirements for the eligibility for the IIT JAM exam and the MSc. Physics program.

With a 97.45 percentile in JEE Main as a general category candidate, you have a good chance of getting into a good NIT or IIIT, but achieving Computer Science in top IITs requires a higher score and a better rank in JEE Advanced.

The IIT JAM exam allows B.Pharmacy degree holders to take the entrance examination. The minimum requirement to qualify for the IIT JAM examination is a bachelor's degree combined with a minimum 55% average or 5.5/10 CGPA for students from the general category. The recognition of B.Pharmacy as a bachelor's degree gives you permission to participate in the examination process. Yearly IIT JAM tests require payment of INR 2,100 for two test paper candidates and INR 1,050 for single test paper applicants. IIT JAM serves as an entrance test to access Bachelors and additionally provides entry to IITs and IISc graduate programs.

No, a GATE score of 40 marks is relatively low for IITs and popular branches like CSE, ME, EE, and ME. The score is considered below average. However, if you score around 40 marks in GATE, you can opt for a branch or institution with less competition. Otherwise, you can attempt GATE next year with more practice and revision.
