IIT Dharwad M.Tech is offered in various specialisations such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering and many more. The first-year transfer from NIT to IIT cannot happen directly because IITs do not have student transfer policies. Student relationship programs between NITs and IITs let qualified students from NITs study at IITs as per mutual agreement protocols but only for limited academic periods. Current policies of the IITs forbid direct student transfers from NITs while they do present research internships and special programs that allow NIT students to join but not through direct admission routes.
