Hey Shweta,
After completing your 12 with science you have a lot of options to go for. It solely depends on your future plans and interest that which one you go for. If you want to do technical course than B.Tech will be a good option otherwise you can go for courses like fashion design, interior design etc. Along with this select a good university with good placements and rankings to convince your parents and kick start your career well. No. It would be very difficult for you to get good college for engineering without giving JEE. Though there are some state level entrance exam for engineering which you can look forward to appear in. But without giving entrance exam it would be difficult to get into good engineering college.
Hope it gives you clarity on importance of entrance exam.

According to my experience it was horrible to drop one more year. That fear of not getting any NIT or IIT will never let you sleep, pressure of being successful will keep pushing you forward. Expectation of people will be high from you.
But in the end, you made into some iit's or not doesn't matter, what you will feel inside is that you're changed. You will become a better and stronger person, who can face much more problems and difficulties that you couldn't face before in your life. You will become productive in your daily life. And also what if you made it to the IIT's that will be a plus point on your achievements you will made this

Hey Shamil,
You need to clear Jee Mains and then Advanced in order to get into IIT. Talking about marks, it depends on multiple factors and you can't predict that accurately. You can check out the marks for last few years and set a target. You should also look out for some best alternate universities like BITS, SRM, Lovely Professional University etc which stand on the same notes of quality education.
