In terms of quality of education, it is good. Teachers and placements are also good. It is predominantly good for branches like IT, COE, software and ECE. However, for core branches like ME, EE, EEE and civil it is average. However, if you work hard then in these branches also you will not find any difficulty.

Although, it's not a good option to choose the distance and open learning. But if you are working in the same industry or pursuing another short-term course then it's not a bad idea to choose the same.

Chemical engineering is somewhat better than biotechnology in India. If you want to join chemical engineering then try to crack some good GATE rank so that you can get jobs in ONGC, HPL and also in government based chemical sectors. Otherwise, try to go for any booming stream in engineering like civil, mechanical, etc.

Hi Gurjot,
According to my thinking, just search for those college which fulfill your requirements according to your condition, capabilities etc. If you are financial eligible then focus on private colleges and if not and you are scholar also then you can go for Government colleges. But at the end just focus for those colleges which provide you better Placement. And you can get the list of these colleges from either Shiksha.com or the official website of HRD Ministry.
