Well this a mistaken idea that majority of law colleges are located in U.P. U.P, being a huge state, it has an advantage of having a number of institutes owing to available land. As there are many states which has a number of law schools for example Gujarat apart from GNLU, has Siddhartha Law college, Auro University Of Law, Institute of Law, Nirma University, United Global World School Of Law, RN Patel school of Law and many more. Thus, it is not the case that UP has majority of law schools as every state has a number of Law schools and universities.
U.P has RMLNLU, Amity University, BHU amongst top and not much Law schools are there comparing with Gujarat. For instance, similar number is there. Also, Delhi has a number of law schools, and so does Maharashtra and Karnataka have.
So, it can't have generalized and concluded that U.P has the majority of law schools, but it does have a good number of law institutes owing to available cheap land and political interference as well.
