More than 22 students received offers above INR 1 CPA during IIT Bombay placements 2024. Earlier, The highest international and domestic package offered during IIT Bombay placements 2023 stood at INR 3.67 crore per annum and INR 1.68 crore per annum, respectively. Further, an improving trend was witnessed in the highest international package offered over the past three years during IIT Bombay placements. The year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 972 for OBC, 496 for SC, 261 for ST, 376 for EWS, 66 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

For 2023, cut off was 4649 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 7838 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

The JEE Advanced score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

IIT Bombay cutoff 2023 ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering other than General category are mentioned below

  • 58 for OBC
  • 27 for SC
  • 10 for ST
  • 20 for EWS
  • 5 for PWD

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 66 and closing rank was 67. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 74 and 291. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
