If you want to make your career in the IT field, then opting for Diploma after completing class 12th will not be a good option, you can pursue B.Sc in IT, B.Tech in IT, BCA, etc. These courses will prove to be more beneficial as compared to Diploma.

B.Tech IT graduates from good engineering colleges can easy get entry level job of developer and tester in IT companies during campus placement. If you do not get a job in campus placements, you can do certifications like DBA, CCNA etc. to enhance your employability. You may also evaluate doing Data Analytics, Clould Computing, BigData etc. You may also consider pursuing testing courses. You can also do IIBA certification to become a BA. If you are technically oriented and want to specialize, you can do M.Tech else MBA.

There is no course to become an IT manager directly.
Following paths are available to become an IT Manager:
1. Technical developers, testers or other technical resources after few years of experience can grow as IT manager.
2. Business analyst after few years of experience can grow as IT manager.
3. Domain Specialist with project management certifications may be absorbed as IT managers.
4. CSE engineers with IT experience and MBA graduates from primer B-school may get direct role of IT manager.

You are advised to join any IT company as a Tester and gain experience in one selected functional domain such as Finance, Healthcare, Travel & Transportation, etc. Once you have domain knowledge, you can easily become Business Analyst.
