The difficulty level of IPMAT depends on how much preaparation a candidate has done. Candidate's IPMAT preparation strategy should be systematic and cover complete IPMAT syllabus. IPMAT is a national-level entrance exam which is conducted by the prestigious IIM Indore for admission to the five-year IPM course offered IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, etc. Candidates planning to appear for IPMAT must know that good IPMAT preparation can help them go a long way. The IPMAT exam is a somewhat challenging exam for admission to dual degree 5 Year Integrated Programme in Management programmes at IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIFT, TAPMI, and other top business schools.
For students who have passed or will be sitting in class 12, the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offers the option to get an MBA degree as well as a BBA degree from IIM Indore and many other top business schools.
Candidates who are willing to take the IPMAT 2023 must first register for the exam. Students must ensure that the application form must be submitted before the deadline.

To increase your chances of admission to IIMs, aim for an IPMAT score of more than 230. This score will place you in a good position for the PI-WAT round.
A 200 in the IPMAT exam is also a good score, but it does not ensure admission to an IIM. The IPMAT cut-off scores change every year based on the difficulty of the exam and other factors.
However, achieving a score of 200 has been proven sufficient to reach stage of the selection process: the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (PI-WAT).

IIM Indore announced the IPMAT dates and schedule. The IPMAT 2025 exam was conducted on May 12, 2025. The registrations for IPMAT 2025 started on February 14, 2025. The registration window closed on April 1, 2025. The IPMAT admission process is completely online and the schedule was also announced online on the official website. The IPMAT 2025 exam was conducted in one shift only (afternoon shift) like every year. The schedule along with the exam timings and duration will be announced soon by IIM Indore in a detailed notification for the IPMAT exam.

IPMAT is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. The exam was earlier conducted and accepted by only IIM Indore for admission to its give year intergrated programme in management. In the year 2022, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade started accepting IPMAT scores for admission to its integrated MBA programme. From the year 2023 onwards, many other institutes were added to the list which will also accept IPMAT scores conducted by IIM Indore. IPMAT admit card will be released online and is a mandatory document to be carried to IPMAT exam centre. Admit card must contain following:
Name
Signature and photograph
Roll Number
Time and venue of exam centre
Instruction related to exam
Space for invigilator signature

No, digital copy of the IPMAT admit card will not be considered valid for the verification purpose at the IPMAT exam centre. Candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the IPMAT admit card to gain an entry. IPMAT admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the IPMAT application form.
