Preparing for the Verbal section of IPMAT requires a systematic approach and regular practice. To begin your preparations for the Verbal section, start with understanding the syllabus. This section focuses on the student's hold on the language. It includes topics such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning. Students who are appearing for the Class 12 board exams and also the IPMAT exam should know that they need to balance the IPMAT preparation along with the Class 12 board preparation in order to succeed in both. Students can prioritize Class 12 board exams as they are important for the academic performance and future admission to the IPMAT colleges. 

Preparing for the board exams will build a strong foundation for the IPMAT exam preparation as well. No amount of preparation can be enough if you do not have a good study plan. A well structured study plan which allocates time to IPMAT exam preparation as well as Class 12 board preparation can help the students ace the exams. Students applying for the IPMAT exam can choose only test centre. And the IPMAT test city cannot be changed once the form has been submitted and also during the form correction window. Yes, students who have completely filled the IPMAT application form and paid the application fee before the due date can make corrections in the IPMAT application form. However, there is a limit to the number of corrections that can be made. Also, only a few fields are editable after the form submission. Given below are some of the IPMAT form correction instructions that the applicants must follow:

• Applicants who have completed the IPMAT application process can make changes in the application form (if any) within the stipulated time.
• To make corrections in the application form, aspirants need to login on to the official website using their login credentials, i.e. Username and Password.
• The application form correction window will be open for a day.
• Candidates can make corrections in only a few fields, such as Candidate's Photo, Candidate's Signature, Alternate Mobile Number, Alternate Email Address and Exam Centre City Preferences.
• Changes and edits can be made only once. Once the form is saved after being edited, the form will be uneditable. Hence, make the corrections carefully.

The following list of documents will be required when the students are filing the IPMAT application form:

• Scanned or digital copy photograph and signature
• Scanned copy of the latest OBC (Non-creamy) / SC / ST / DAP category certificate as applicable
• Scanned copy of mark sheet of Class 10
• Scanned copy of marksheet of Class 12
• Credit/ Debit card/ internet banking details to pay the fees online

The images uploaded should be in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format and the file format should be as mentioned in the IPM brochure. It is important to carefully read the instructions provided on the official website before filling out the registration form to ensure that you provide all the necessary documents and in the correct format.

IPMAT registration fee can be paid only online. There is no provision of paying the application fee offline. Candidates need to pay the application fee online in order to complete the IPMAT application form. The candidates applying for the IPMAT exam must note that the IPMAT application process is completely online from filling the IPMAT application form till paying the application fee. There is no offline communication. The application fee for IPMAT is INR 4130. The application fee for IPMAT can only be paid online using a credit card, debit card, internet banking or UPI. Students belonging to the reserved category are eligible to avail a fee concession. The IPMAT application fee for reserved category students is INR 2065.

The IPMAT application/registration forms will be available online only on the official website of Indian Institute of Management, Indore. The students who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam, have to fill out the IPMAT application form online along with paying the online application fee. In other words, IPMAT application process is completely online and there is no provision of offline application. Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam must follow the steps mentioned below to know how to register for the IPMAT exam and log in to the IIM Indore website:

• Visit the official website of IIM Indore

• Click on the registration link for IPMAT 2026

• The candidate needs to generate a User ID and password using details such as name of the candidate, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc. 

• This User ID and password will also be sent to the candidate through registered email and SMS

• Next, the candidate needs to re-login using the credentials

• The next step is to enter the required details in the IPMAT application form. Candidates must ensure that they enter the correct details as the same cannot be changed later

• Pay the registration fee through a Credit/Debit Card or internet Banking

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories need to submit valid and attested certificates supporting their reservation category 

Yes, students who are in Class 12 or are awaiting for their Class 12 results can certainly apply for the IPMAT exam. The basic eligibility crtieria for appearing for the IPMAT exam is as follows:

• The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories.

• The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2022, 2023 or in 2024.

• Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2024.

• The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) categories.

• Applicants in Class 12 or awaiting the results are also eligible to apply provisionally. This means that they would be requireed to present their Class 12 marksheet, school leaving certificate, transfer certificate, etc. at the time of admission. If the candidate fails to submit the required documents, then, their candidature will be cancelled. 

Yes, it is mandatory for all candidates to attend the document verification round as part of the IPMAT counselling process. During the document verification process, candidates must present their original documents for verification and provide their biometric details. The purpose of document verification is to ensure that the candidate is eligible for admission to the selected course and to avoid fraudulent activities. Candidates who do not attend the document verification round will be marked ineligible from the admission process through IPMAT scores.

Such candidates will not be considered for the seat allotment round also. Therefore, it is important for candidates to attend the document verification process physically as per the schedule announced by the authorities. It is also crucial to carry all the required documents in original along with photocopies to the document verification round. Candidates who fail to produce the required documents will not be allowed to participate in the further counselling process which includes the Personal Interview round. 

IPMAT counselling is conducted for candidates who have cleared the Intergrated Program in Managment Aptitude Test (IPMAT) and have secured a rank in the merit list. To be eligible for IPMAT counselling, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

1. The candidate must have qualified for the IPMAT exam by obtaining the minimum qualifying marks

2. Candidates must have completed their Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognised board or institute.

3. Candidates from all nationalities can apply for the IPMAT counselling

4. The candidate must meet the eligibility criteria for the desired course for admission based on IPMAT.

5. The candidate must have all the required documents as required at the time of document verification. Candidates who fulfil the above eligibility criteria can participate in IPMAT counselling process.
