It's up-to your decision whether you want to join a state college or through JEE. You have chances of getting petroleum engineering at RGIPT and RGIPT has an excellent placement record and you can also get chemical in RGIPT.

Hello I hope you are doing well. You can check the list of colleges including NITs and IIITs that you can get according to your marks and rank. Use Shiksha JEE college predictor:

Think about yourself. What do you want to do in future? I would suggest you to prefer engineering or take admission to B.Sc in BCS.

As your rank is not so good, I think you also know that, so admission in NITs is not possible for you. But don't lose hope as there are many other colleges.

Hi,
It's totally dependent on the college where you are applying for admission in B.Tech that whether that college wants your JEE score or not to be written in the given space. You need to ask the college authorities about what to do if you didn't take JEE Mains exam.

Sorry to say, but you don't get any NIT for CSE with your rank. Please go with other private colleges and try again later.

If it is your first attempt and you don't want to lose your effort, then join the NIT and there you can prepare for JEE Advanced along with the college. Many of my friends have done this and all have passed with flying colours.
