Admissions are purely done on the JEE Mains rank so I'd suggest you to visit josaa.nic.in and check the previous year's cutoffs of your home state NITs as in most of the cases it is easier to get home state NIT because of home state quota.

Hi Shivam,
There is no any chance of getting Thapar University. You may go for Chandigarh University, Sharda, etc.

Hi,
You can appear for JEE Advanced only if you qualify JEE Mains. You may appear for JEE Mains again, as there is no bar on number of attempts. Work hard and be consistent in studies.

That's hardly a good rank or percentage. It is difficult for you to get admission without any quota.

You won't get any government college so I would suggest you to explore your possibilities in top private colleges and make the best out of it.

You will not get any core branch in NITs if you're from general category though you may get some decent CFTI's and non-core branch in new NITs. Please check the list on JOSSA for further information.
