Yes, of course. There are many good colleges in India like Amity and LPU but my advice is you should prepare for IIT one more year so that you can get good colleges.

No, if you are a general or OBC candidate, NIT college counseling will end up at around 40000 ranks and yours may be above 70-80k. But if you are an SC/ST candidate, may be you can get some lower branch in lower NITs.

Yes, you can get easily but you have to clear your compartment exam. They will take admission but you have to clear the compartment exam than only you can continue studying there

Some universities conduct their own test for admission and scholarships, like Chandigarh University, LPU, VIT, etc.
And some states organise their entrance exams to take admission into the colleges in their states, like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar, etc.
The maximum colleges accept JEE Mains for admissions.
So don't take tension about the admission. If you have scored well in JEE Mains, you can get a good college. You are not required to give any entrance exam.
