The closing rank for general category student for MAM (engineering) in 2016 was 24857in JEE Mains.
This rank for MAM was before the spot round.

The closing rank for general category student for mechanical engineering in 2016 was 17926 in JEE Mains.
This rank for ME was before the spot round.

You need to check the opening and closing ranks of the previous years to get the idea whether you will get admission or not. Also, you should be very clear about the branch you would like to take admission into and check the ranks as per your choice.

Hi,
I cannot really answer this question.
Approximately 250 marks.
In 2016, there was 6040 criterion (60% from Mains and 40% from board). But in 2017, they will consider JEE Mains marks only. So it is difficult to guess.
