As per your marks getting a good college might be a nightmare for you, so better you prepare well for other examination or if required take a drop.

To get a good college you need to clear JEE Mains. As you have not cleared JEE Mains you only have the option to get admission this year.

Don't drop a year again. NIT is not everything. There are many colleges belonging to NITs. SGSITS, Indore is one of them.

Your marks are low to get any of the NITs or top rated government colleges.

With 96 marks in JEE Mains and having OBC category, it's quite difficult to get into any NIT/IIIT.
However you reside in Maharashtra, so there are fair chances that you will get admission in the govt. /private colleges of Maharashtra. So keep visiting your nearby colleges and gather information.
