I think you should pursue mechanical. It holds good scope and also you will get a good government college on the basis of marks you have scored in JEE Mains.

Hello Siddharth,
Best option differs from person to person. It's an opportunity for you to introspect and review your strengths and weaknesses. If you feel like it, take a break of 1-year, prepare once again and give JEE Mains next year. Else select management quota of private engineering colleges option or change your stream.

Both the coaching classes you mentioned are giving full page ads in the newspaper telling how good they are! You can select any one of them for preparation.

You can not get into NITs/IITs with just 50 marks in JEE Mains. Try to contact any private college which gives admission on the basis of your 12th score.

You have almost nil chances in govt colleges. Your only chance is to get admission via management quota of private engineering colleges. Else, you can take break and appear next year.
