You can get good private college, but now a days getting into a college is not important. The thing that is important, is which branch you choose.
Computer science and Automation and Robotics are two branches having great scope in future.
I would suggest Gulzar Group of Institution for these two branches, as Gulzar Group of Institution is 3rd college in India to have KUKA certified training in automation and robotics. For CSE, it has signed MoU with L-Kshay Pvt. Ltd. company that has established a CODERS Club in which students are made to learn working on live projects to enhance their practical and theoretical knowledge, and have an exp

No, you can't get in this institute if you are from general and OBC category. If you are an SC/ST then surely you can get into NIT.

It will depend on your preparation if your preparation is good for JEE and you are sure to qualify then you can. Preparing for past two years will not be deemed worthy if you didn't follow the right path.
