Correctly speaking, you should choose that branch of engineering in which you have passion, you want to do desperately. Do not choose branch in which you have no interest.

You have to cover all the syllabus of JEE Mains and advanced topic wise.

Please define the UPSC, and the JEE Mains subject for paper 1- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
2- Aptitude test.

The war cry in Maharashtra is same. As per me, if one studies well nothing is difficult and what we don't study is extremely difficult. MHTCET is based on 12th syllabus of state's board while JEE Mains syllabus is same as CBSE.
But yes there is perception that JEE Mains is tougher than MHTCET.

Your rank is not so good so, my opinion is that try for other colleges or wait for next year.

Try MBM College-Jodhpur.

Aayojan School of Architecture would be an option, other than that you can check the Council of Architecture approved colleges in the link - https://www.coa.gov.in/show_img.php?fid=216

Go for this option if you atleast have 60% in boards. Try for JEE Mains counselling and UPSEE counselling. Do not drop a year. You can also go for JEE Mains counselling in UPSEE and can get admission in a good college.
