Hi,
Your JEE Mains score is 89 and boards score is 85% in OBC Category. It will be little difficult to get into NITs. You may get a NIT, but might not get a good branch.
Hope for the best.

Shiksha Rank Predictor Application predicts your rank upto an extent. Accuracy will be more, if your marks secured are more. For lower scores, accuracy will be less. Partly it is based on last years cuttoff and present years expectations.

Hi pavan singh , based on your marks, I don't think you will get CS but you might just get automobile. The cut off for the college has been rising in the recent years so you might just manage automobile. The cut off for it for general category for outside delhi goes to something around 30000-35000. Hi pavan singh, the branches that you have mentioned are pretty extreme. CS is offered to the topmost ranker, while automobile is for those who don't have that good rank. The good part of it would be that you will have more time to prepare and if you utilize it well then you can have higher marks and hence would get a more reputed college to study. You can even try for IIT's if not NIT's. You will also be able to enhance your knowledge level. The other side of the coin is that your batch mates of school would be a year ahead of you. Your graduation will get delayed by an year. And if you do not utilize your time well then there is no guarantee that you will score more next year in the same exam. So the focul point of dropping a year is to really utilize 365 x 24 hours of the entire in-between period ver

For B.tech IT and ECE the cutoff is 9k to 10k while for the Dual degree courses it is around 10k to 15k depending on the M.tech specialization offered for the second degree. This is around a score of 200 on an average seeing the past patterns. However the board result and percentile also are a major factor in the same.
