Focus on your basics in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Don't try too hard on doing advanced level problems and yes try to avoid spending too much time on same question. Students try to spend more time on some topics or questions due to which they are not able to give essentially required time on other topics or questions.
Due to this they end up in messing up everything they have learnt so far. Try to understand your weak topics and give them not more than required time which may not hamper your other topics or questions. Study one topic at a time. In any way you would have to study yourself. A teacher will only show you the path. It is you, who will walk. If you can prepare it yourself then there is no need of wasting your time elsewhere but if you need help then you must join. You should ask yourself, what is your need?

With a rank of 40,000, you can try for NITs and IIITs. Also you can try for various other government colleges like Delhi Technological University, and Netaji Subhash Institute of technology (NSIT), New Delhi.
In addition to these universities and colleges, you can also apply for various government colleges in different states if your state doesn't have it's own engineering entrance exam.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted to offer admissions to interested candidates in undergraduate engineering programs at NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) located across the country.
JEE Main 2016 dates have been announced. The offline exam will be held on April 3. While, the online exam will be held on April 9 and 10, 2016.

Round 1, 2, 3, 4 in JEE Mains refer to the counselling round.
The common merit list that is prepared is based on the candidate's performance in the exam. Please, remember that only those aspirants, who have taken both paper 1 and paper 2 will be considered for ranking.
As far as the marking system is concerned, the marks secured by a candidate in physics will be equal to the marks he/she secures in physics part of paper 1 plus marks in physics part of paper 2. The same procedure is followed for chemistry and mathematics too. Thus, the sum of the marks obtained in individual subjects in JEE advanced 2015 will be the aggregate ma

Yes, as per sources, aspirants giving their Class 12 exams in 2017 would be the first batch to appear for this exam. Hence, most likely, NAT will replace JEE in the upcoming year 2017.
