Maths is essential part of the entrance exam and hence it would be necessary to prepare for Mathematics also. As long as you have 5 subjects in your 12th Mark-sheet (all passed in same year), you are eligible for JEE Mains.
Thank you.

The JEE Main cut-off is normally determined by the difficulty level of the exam paper and is also proportionate to the number of seats available for admission to all Indian Institute of Technology.

Dear Ashish,
You can fill JEE 2016 as you still have to clear your practical of 12th in 2016. You will be considered 12th pass, if you have cleared practical and theory both.
Regards,
Subodh Sharma
