Yes, the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) accepts the scorecard of JEE-Main. But the majority of seats are sanctioned for Maharashtra domicile students and are filled through MHT-CET. An additional 25% seats are provided for All India Candidates who are admitted through the JEE-Main score. Apart from UG courses like BTech the College of Engineering Pune also provides a wide range of PG and doctoral courses which have their own specified entrance exams through which students can enroll in the desired course.

You have a very good rank in JEE Mains. You can easily get NIT or IIITs all over the India like NIT Srinagar, NIT Nagaland, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya Haridwar, etc. In CE, ME, Chemical engineering, EEE ( if you are of General category) in round 2. If you belongs to any other categories ( like OBC, SC, ST ), then you can get much better NITs than above as you desired. So, I hope I'm able to help you.
Best of luck.

Based on your JEE Mains Common Rank List (CRL) rank of 42722, it is possible to get admission for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in some National Institutes of Technology (NITs) or other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). However, admission cutoffs can vary each year and depend on several factors such as the number of available seats, the popularity of the program, and the preferences of other candidates.
To determine your chances of admission, it's recommended to refer to the previous year's cutoff ranks for CSE in various NITs and GFTIs. This will give you an idea of the rank range that was accepted for this progr

While deciding between colleges within the same bracket or similar reputation, location and branch plays a pivotal role in narrowing down your choices. If you are getting the same branch in COEP and NSIT, then you can choose any one which is close to your home. COEP has got a pretty good reputation and so does NSIT. In terms of city, Pune is much cleaner and safe for girls as compared to Delhi. But the fact that Delhi has got better engineering colleges which are competing with NSIT like DTU, IIIT D offsets the city advantage that Pune has over Delhi. Both these regional colleges have skewed quota towards the in-state students. (NSIT-8
