B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2020
5.0
Thoughts on IPEC for guiding students.
Placements: 80 out of 100 students were placed in my course. The highest package in my course is 15 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Mahindra, ADANI, Paytm, Honda, Samsung, L&T, Reliance and many more. All 100 out of 100 students got internships from this course in local Indian companies such as Shrirampisto, BEL NTPC, Railway, etc. The top role offered is GET.
Infrastructure: The facilities in my course are very good because all students have the best books from the library. And there are all the things taught for student support: Wi-Fi, water purifiers, a camera-less class room, and the main library. All books are available there for students who don't have the ability to purchase books from the course. In my hostel, all facilities are available for students. All rooms are clean and there is Wi-Fi for online classes, a canteen for lunch and dinner, medical support available for emergency purposes, sports facilities, and a ground for yoga.
Faculty: All teachers are very supportive and available for student and they are all well qualified; some are from IIT, some from NIT, and some come from a foreign college. Their teaching quality is very good. Some extracurricular activities are available for students who want extra knowledge for the future. All semester exams are very easy to pass. Whoever works hard will pass the exam very easily.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in mechanical engineering and I want to clear UPSC IES. The best thing about my course is that there are many options in the government and private sectors. There are various festivals such as jashn, ipec special, and many others, and the campus is surrounded by the best government scholarships available.

It has good placements, decent staff, good infrastructure, a good library, and a good canteen.
Placements: A good number of students are placed with an average salary package of 4.50 LPA. TCS, core companies, and Bhushan Steel have visited our campus. Top roles are manager and representative head. Around 50% of students got internships. Others were not selected because of their marks.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in labs with proper air conditioning. The library is my favourite place. Most of the facilities are available. Mess food is average. The canteen is good, with a decent range of food items. There is no separate ground for cricket or football.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not relevant. Sometimes, the papers are very hard. Sometimes, they are average. The passing percentage is 40%. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready because the course is outdated.
Other: I like cars and bikes, so I chose mechanical engineering. I get more knowledge about cars and bikes. There should be more practical work than lectures.

Review of Inderprastha Engineering College.
Placements: Almost 20%-30% of the students got placed in our batch in a few companies. The highest salary package offered was 8.4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. Top recurring companies are Byju's, Vivo, Infosys, and many more. I think no one was offered internships from any company. Top roles offered are GET, sales associate, QC machinist, sales manager, line manager, and many more.
Infrastructure: Mechanical workshop, electrical workshop, electronics workshop and available. We have computers lab facilities and computer cells where we can print documents. There is a huge library and book bank from where we get our semester books. Medical facilities are available, sports and gym facilities are also provided. All the games are played here. The quality of workshops is also good they have all essential well-working equipment where you can make manufacturing items, and we have made our final year project in our workshop. Library has all the books related to courses. The book bank service is also good and they provide all semester books from here. They have many computer labs for students with well-maintained computer systems. Mess food quality is average but you get something special on the menu a day in the week and evening snacks are always good. Medical facilities are good and they have all the emergency kits. Canteen is so beautiful and they have a vast menu and the taste is also good. Sports field is good they have a football field, basketball court, and indoor gaming room.
Faculty: Teachers are so qualified and are always ready to help even if that's not their field. They have good knowledge about teaching, course, field, industry, and many more. Teaching quality is good you can understand easily. The course curriculum is relevant and it is the university syllabus. It makes students industry ready that you can withstand in any company and industry. Semester exams are normally as usual few were hard and few were easy. The passing percentage is 30%, and you have to pass in both internal as well as externals.
Other: Our batchmates are so good, I was a lateral entry student who came in 2nd year. I have done a diploma in mechanical engineering so I chose B.Tech with mechanical. The best thing was it was my interest field. I think they should improve on their placement and practical knowledge. They should include more practical experience in the course. They organise a big fest of 4-5 days where one day is celebrity night and other day other functions are performed. A sports fest is also organised in which all the games are played at the college and university level. A technical fest in which we compete college and university level students. We also have an alumni meet and an annual function. All are fun.

Placement and faculty is good. But the campus size is really small so can't enjoy much college life.
Placements: 90 percent students got placed with an average package of 3.5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies for mechanical engineering students this year were Larsen and Toubro, Everest blowers etc. The roles offered were for trainee and junior engineer.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Campus is equipped with Wi-Fi and high-speed LAN connection is provided in two hostels. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. Library is also good. Hostel rooms are good but the mess food is average and there are many restrictions for girl students .
Faculty: Curriculum is okay. Faculty members are really supportive (except few exceptions). Course is sufficient for students to make them ready for any industry if they study well. Semester exams are a bit on the tougher side but can be passed with some effort.
Other: The best thing in mechanical department are the excellent faculty members .

Overall, the college is average.
Placements: 20-25% of students got placed in core companies. 2-3 Lacs per annum is the minimum package, and the maximum package is 4 LPA. Everyone got an internship from various companies. CS and IT students get good placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in classrooms. The infrastructure is average. The campus is small. The playground is very small, and the gym is also small and not well-equipped. Buildings are okay, but hostels are not good. 3 students live in 1 room, and it is very congested. Wi-Fi is available only for laptops, and it does not work during college hours. Mess food is bad. No one listens to our complaints. The classrooms and library are good.
Faculty: The teachers are good, helpful and qualified. They have good knowledge about their subjects. They help us with everything. Semester exams are quite difficult, so you need to study well.

The placements are not good for mechanical, this will lead up to end the career before start.
Placements: The placements for the mechanical engineer students were not good. Not a single-core company will come to the college, and if by mistake any company will come to this college then they offer Rs 12,000 - Rs 15,000 per month for 2-3 years on the same package and Bond Base Job Contract. The college brochure said that Bosch, Tata, and many big core companies will come but everything was a lie and fake publicity of this college. In our 4 years of college life, I have never seen that companies and after complaining it to training and recruitment cell then they gave excuses. Some student switch their careers and many of them were pass out from college and this was the worst part of this college.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure in the mechanical department were average. Some laboratories and facilities were the latest, for example, the whole mechanical department building had Jio Wi-Fi and booster for students. The latest welding machine, MIG, TIG, spot welding m/c, etc. All classrooms had a projector facility. Some laboratories had very old equipment, and they were very old and not based on the last 5-10 year technology. Mechanical workshops were based on old traditional machines, not the latest and advanced machines and instruments available for students' works. The library was very big in the college because there was a single library for the whole college, but it was very large and spacious. It had different sections in them for different trades.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were very helpful, skilled, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some of the teachers' way of teaching was very good, they can explain harder topic, equations, and theories in a very simple way it was very easy to learn them. The mechanical engineer course was relevant but according to the present time the syllabus was outdated, because as automation started everywhere, so students had to learn many courses to take jobs and start some start-ups. Semester exam questions were prepared by university so it depends on the teachers. But some subject question papers always seemed tough but hard work and regular study crack them.

This college is really good because of its facilities.
Placements: This college is the best for IT and CS branches because they have 100% placements. The top recruiting companies coming to this college are Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Oppo, and Vivo, and these are the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: My course is mechanical engineering, and there are good facilities available in this college. There are good labs for us to gain practical knowledge. Sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: The faculty members are very knowledgeable and helpful. All the teachers are well qualified and very helpful to students. They provide practical knowledge of other courses under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, like welding and other projects.
Other: Our batch is 2015-19, and it was a good batch. The crowd was good. This college organised the best events and fests compared to other Ghaziabad colleges. This college provides scholarships which are very helpful for students.

Placements in 2019 were good, and I am really satisfied with the placements.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in the year 2019. The average package offered was 3.5 to 4.5 LPA, the highest package was 9 to 10 LPA, and the lowest package was 1.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TE Connectivity India Pvt. Ltd., Infosys, Amazon, and TCS. The tops roles offered in my course are sales engineer, marketing engineer, quality engineer, CAD engineer, and operations engineer.
Infrastructure: The library is one of the most peaceful places in our college, and we can study with a good concentration. You'd love the place. The place is nicely designed and structured, and the library has all kinds of books available for students to take and study. In my 4 years of college, I had seen the quality of food in canteen improvising. Medical facilities are not proper. Sports like football, volleyball, badminton and basketball are available.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and have good knowledge in their particular field. However, you need to be more interactive with faculty members in order to get their full support. A few activities are conducted by faculty members to make students industry-ready. More practical exposure should be provided.
