Hello,
You can change the category now:
However, when candidate change the category from general to reserved then fee in not refunded. If a candidate changes the category from reserved to general, then he needs to pay the certain amount. NTA provides the opportunity to make corrections in the category. Candidate can fill JEE Main Correction form. Students can cross check their categories that they have filled in the application form and update them. There are two cases when candidate has to pay the additional fee:
Selection of both paper 1 and Paper 2
Change of category from SC/ST/Girls/PWD to General/OBC NCL. Thanks.

Hello,Candidates who are applying for JEE Main Exam for the first time may face problems while filling the form, like you are facing. So, it is better to check the complete procedure to fill the online application form. The online application can be divided into three main stages as given below:
Stage One: Filling JEE Main Online Application Form. Stage Two: Uploading Photo and Signature in IIT JEE Mains 2020 Form. Stage Three: Making Online JEE Main 2020 Registration Fee Payment. So, follow these three stages and get yourself registered for the exam. Best of Luck.

Hello,
Yes, it is a nice step NTA has taken so far for JEE Main. These 60 marks will make a difference for sure as you cannot guess anything, and 60 marks are enough to turn everything upside down. One more thing which we must appreciate that there is no negative marking for such questions as per the JEE Main Paper Pattern, so that student may at least dare to answer the question rather than skipping it. Not even this it will develop a correct strategy to students mind on not relying to the options as per updated JEE Main Paper Pattern and solving the question on their own.
