Based on the previous year analysis, General category candidates require 95-97 percentile in JEE Mains for NIT. OBC/ EWS candidates require 85-90 percentile while SC/ ST candidates require 65-70 percentile in JEE Mains for NITs.

Yes, there is, I am student of bit sindri dhanbad which is situated in jharkhand,
And in here they do not allow lateral entry B.Tech students in the most of the company placement.
For the regular student company the highest package salary is-12-15LPA
And for lateral entry students only-6-8lpa
I am actually electrical engineering student,
And in this the company like vadenta, tata steel etc. Lateral entry students doesn't all to sit in the placement programme .
