JEE Mains scoring do not affect the admission of different engineering colleges which selection is done through MHT CET exam. JeeMainsmarks is taken into account only admission in NITs, IITs, GFTIs. Not to take any consideration for MHT CET exam.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering was 25361 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Jamia Millia Islamia [JMI].

It is difficult to get into NITs for CSE branch with a rank of 40k in JEE Mains. However, you can try for some IIITs. You can also use the JEE Main college predictor on the basis of rank obtained in the exam to get an idea of which colleges you can get admission in 2023.

The overall percentage for the General category is 55%, and the overall percentage for the Reserved category is 50%. For admission, students must qualify and submit the scores of MHT-CET.

84 percentile is equivalent to 165679 - 120612 general category rank and the corresponding OBC rank is approximately 35000 - 40000. It will be quite difficult for you to get into NITs, IIITs or GFTIs. You may opt for private engineering colleges.
