It's possible that providing the wrong name of the post office but the right pin code on your counselling application could create a problem, as it may cause confusion or delay in the processing of your application.

Yes indeed. Don't worry. The condition of 75% marks in class 12th is basically for admission in IIT and not for admission in NIT. Best wishes to you.

Hello,
There are just about 50000sears in total in different NIT's. If you are OBC, then you will be competing for seats within the quota for OBCs. At 27%, this means there are only about 13500 seats reserved for OBC students. Your ranking is 38000. So you can SEE for yourself where you stand. Of course, due to some freak permutations and combinations, you may still get a seat. However, I would like to advise you to take a break, study well and score handsomely to give a ranking of better than 500 to get admission to your desired institute and branch. Best wishes to you.

Home State (or HS) quota Under the home state quota, the seats are reserved for candidates based on their state (domicile) of eligibility which is basically the state where they have completed their Class 11th and 12th from.

According to JEE Main reservation criteria 2023 in the NITs, 50% seats stand reserved under the home state quota for eligible candidates, while the rest of 50% are left for candidates of other states.

Hi, Yes you there are chances that you can get admission in NIT if you have qualify in JEE session one but there should be good marks, so according to your score if you are eligible then you will get NIT or if you aren't then you won't.

For getting the LNMIIT CSE branch ,the jee percentile would be around 95-96+ and for this percentile , the marks required would be atleast 140+ marks. And the cut off score of 2022 for CSE branch goes between 135-145.

Hello Arpita, there are roughly 50000 seats under all NIT's put together. But many top rankers do not join as they fancy better opportunities. Hence you have bright chances of getting admission even with this ranking. However, that's past. NTA has already closed registration for first session of JEE Mains examination with second session planned in April. I suggest you to wait till final results are declared by NTA and then check your chances of admission with college predictors that will come up by then. For your help i am attaching college predictor by Shiksha.

Hello Harsh Katiyar, I can understand your angst and can sympathise with you. Unfortunately I am afraid that with this ranking you are not likely to get seat in any college. I would like to urge you to take break of one year and prepare exclusively for JEE Mains examination. I am sure that you can then get better marks and ranking and this will result in you getting admission in your desired branch and college. Best wishes to you.

Hello Bhupendra Nandlal, your son has ranking of 16403 under SC category, but total seats under all NIT's under this category is about 7500. So you can guess for yourself as to where your son stands. I would like to advise you to ask your son to prepare afresh and get ranking better than 7500 so that he can get admission. Best wishes to you.
