There is no chance now to reopen KCET 2025 registration window
It was previously ended on Feb 24, 2025 .
The registration period was January 23 to February 25, 2025.
Fee payment deadline was extended to February 25 ,2025.
So there's nothing according to current process that KCET exam registration might reopen.

No, You don't need KCET for getting into B.Sc Maths or B.Sc Computer Science in most colleges. As long as you've cleared 12th with Maths as a subject, you're good. Most colleges either give direct admission based on marks or have their own entrance test (rare). Still, double-check with the college you're eyeing, especially private or top-tier ones. But yeah; KCET isn't the gatekeeper here.

Other exams similar to the KCET are MHT CET (Maharashtra), Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh), TS EAMCET (Telangana), GUJCET (Gujarat), and WBJEE (West Bengal), as they too are state-level entrance tests for engineering and allied courses, following a generally similar syllabus in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics or Biology/Physics/Chemistry for classes 11 or 12, typically have objective-type questions, and generally do not have negative marking, making them the closest in the pattern and difficulty to KCET.

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is a separate and valid pathway for securing seats in engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and other professional courses offered by government and private colleges in Karnataka.
If you've appeared for KCET and meet the eligibility criteria—such as having studied in Karnataka for at least seven years and passed your 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics—you're eligible for government quota seats. The admission process is based on your KCET rank, category, and seat availability during counselli

The cut off of colleges changes based on the branch, category of the applicant and the competition of the year. For computer Science engineering and Information technology the competition is more than any other branches.A good KCET score for top colleges like BMSCE, MSRIT ranges between 140 to 150 out of 180 for computer Science engineering. For RV college of engineering a rank around 1000 is required for computer Science engineering. In PES University offer good oppurtunities for students with rank 1000 to 5000.
