KCET exam is not compulsory for NEET UG exam. However, KCET registration or UGCET registration is mandatory for candidates who want to participate in the Karnataka NEET Counselling. Candidates need to clear the NEET exam and should be KCET/ UGCET registered to take admissions to medical/ dental/ AYUSH seats.

Applicants have to pay the KCET application fee to complete KCET registration. The application fee for KCET 2026 varies according to the category of candidates. Applicants can check the KCET application fee for various categories below:

1. GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B category students of Karnataka: INR 500 

2. SC, ST, CAT-1 category students of Karnataka: INR 250 

3. Karnataka Females: INR 250 

4. Students from Outside Karnataka (GM): INR 750  

5. Students from Outside India (GM): INR 5000

KCET is an accepted entrance exam for admisison in BE courses in BSG Institute of Technology. The KCET Exam will be held through the offline mode. The question paper will be consist of MCQs. The total duration of the exam paper is 80 minutes. There is no negative marking in the question paper.

Acharya Institute of Technology KCET cutoff 2025 has been closed for intake to B.E. / B.Tech and other courses. The cutoff was published for reserved and unreserved category students belonging to AI and HS quotas. For B.E. / B.Tech admission, the last round closing ranks were between 26494 and 258981.5 in the General category for the AI quota.

No, students can't get admission in NIT Surathkal BTech with KCET scores. The institute accepts admissions for BTech solely through JEE Main scores. Students have to then appear for the counselling process to get a seat.

Based on past year trends, Maths is generally considered difficult and time-consuming section to prepare for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. Rest are easy to crack.

Yes, B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering at VTU is easily achievable with a rank of 7000 for the students belonging to the General AI category.

The KCET Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the BE/BTech courses for various categories under both the All India and Home State quotas. 

For the General AI category, the overall cutoff varied between 234 and 261973. The maximum rank at which admissions are entertained was 261973. Please keep in mind that the cutoff for other courses, categories, etc., will vary.
