No, students cannot take admission to UVCE Bangalore BTech courses without appearing for Karnataka CET. Having a valid KCET score is part of the minimum eligibility criteria. Moreover, the allocation of seats is done via KCET counselling. Interested students can apply for the counselling process by visiting the official website of the institute.

For admission to UVCE Bangalore BTech courses, students can take the KCET exam. The application fees for KCET 2025 is as follows:
- Karnataka (GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B): INR 500
- Karnataka (SC, ST, CAT-1): INR 250
- Karnataka (All Female Candidates of Karnataka): INR 250
- Outside Karnataka (GM): INR 750
- Outside India (GM): INR 5,000

Karnataka KCET is accepted at UVCE Bangalore for BTech admissions. For the 2025 session, the exam was conducted on April 16, 2025. The KCET results 2025 were announced on Aug 1, 2025. Students who had appeared for the exam can download their results from the official website of the Karnataka Examinations Authority.

The KCET rank required to get in University of Agricultural Sciences BTech courses varies according to category and choice of course. As per the 2024 cutoff data, the closing rank for the last round ranged from 20687 to 25047. When compared, it was observed that BTech in Food Science & Technology stood as the most competitive specialisation.
