For robotics, the best branch depends on what aspect of robotics you want to focus on, but overall B.Tech in Robotics & Automation Engineering is the most direct and specialized option. It is specifically designed for robotics and covers areas like automation, AI, sensors, and control systems.
If that specialization is not available, the next best choices are Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), as they deal with circuits, embedded systems, and control systems used in robots. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is also a strong option if you are more interested in programming,

Yeah, you can definitely get admission in LPU. From what I've seen, eligibility is not an issue for most students, and the university has a pretty flexible admission process, so getting a seat is quite possible.
About fees, I understand your concern-LPU does offer scholarships based on 12th marks, LPUNEST, and other criteria, which can reduce fees a lot. Compared to many colleges, they give multiple chances to lower the cost, so if you plan smartly (like giving LPUNEST), it can become more manageable.

Students can usually get admission to Lovely Professional University by applying online through the official admission portal and meeting the eligibility for their chosen course. For many programmes, admission is based on LPUNEST or national‑level entrance scores, but a few courses accept direct entry purely on qualifying‑exam marks. Seats are then offered on merit, and the student needs to complete document verification and fee formalities to confirm the admission.

Yes, B.Ed can be done in distance mode, but only through recognised universities that follow NCTE and UGC guidelines. Many state open universities and some private institutions offer B.Ed through distance or online‑cum‑distance format for in‑service and working teachers. Lovely Professional University is ranked among the top private universities in India and offers UGC‑recognised online and distance‑style programmes, where students can find a structured B.Ed‑related teaching pathway if they meet the eligibility offered by the university.

For good placement opportunities, most core and higher‑paying companies at LPU generally expect a CGPA of around 7.0 or above, with many mass‑recruiters sitting at 6.0–6.5 as their cutoff. Some top‑tier and multinational firms prefer candidates with 8.0+ to stay competitive in shortlists. Beyond CGPA, strong technical skills, communication, and active participation in training and projects also significantly influence how good a package a student can secure.

LPUNEST is LPU's own entrance exam used for admission and scholarships. From what I've seen, you don't always need it for admission, but scoring well in it can reduce your fees a lot. It's conducted online and tests basic concepts from your 11th–12th syllabus.
The pattern is usually MCQ-based (subjects depend on your course), and NCERT is mostly enough if your basics are clear. Compared to exams like JEE, it's easier and more straightforward, so with regular NCERT prep and some practice, you can qualify comfortably.

From what I've seen, LPU's last year placement record was quite decent. Many students got placed across different streams, with average packages around ₹10-13 LPA and some students getting much higher offers (even ₹17+ LPA in certain cases). Big companies also visit, especially for tech and management roles.
Compared to many other private colleges, LPU has a more structured placement system with regular drives and training support. It's not 100% for everyone, but if you're active with skills and internships, chances are pretty good.
