Yes, Thiruvalluvar University does offer an MA programme at the postgraduate level lasting for two years. The master course is offered across English, Tamil, Economics, and, Sociology. Further, the MA courses are offered via its affiliated colleges and campuses including Voorhees College, Periyar Arts College, Arignar Anna Government Arts College for Women, and more.

Candidates who have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate can apply for the MA course. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for MA programme. Aspirants need to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in case of candidate belonging to the reserved category and person with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only to apply for MA.

As of February 2025, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has yet to announce cut-off marks for entry into its Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology program. Entry is mostly on the merit of fulfilling the eligibility criteria and not on competitive cut-offs.
