Hello,
UGC NET exam is conducted for 84 different subjects including sociology. To be eligible for NET exam, you should complete Masters degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (5% relaxation available for other than general category). Hi,Technically both of the courses are same and focused on labour welfare, economics, industrial sociology and employer and labour relations. Hence, you can join MA in Labour welfare course. Further, there are no adverse consequences are being noticed.

As such there is no bar for doing any degree based on gender. Only the difference is that is the university is specifically concerned for women then you cannot pursue any degree. You can check any other university for any degree if you want.
