The exam is more about Maths, economics and stats. You can prepare by going through the following books:
1. Microeconomics by Hal Varian. (Bible of UG Microeconomics, the most important Econ book for you.)
2. Macroeconomics by N. Gregory Mankiw. (The volume of macro questions over the past few years has gone down in the exams.)
3. Statistics . there are many just pick one based upon the topics you discover in the question papers. We at Kolkata, mostly used to follow N.G. Das.
4. Mathematics,- I don't need to mention it to you, but what I must is that there is a book called Test of Mathematics at the Ten Plus Two level, popularly known as TOMATO, which contains many maths problems, a good book to solve from. Published by the Indian Statistical Institute.

Both the countries are pretty good in terms of jobs in IT. To hunt a job in France you need to have French of at least B1 level proficiency, and if you hold a French degree, it will be easy for you to learn their language during your studies. And, if you have relevant skills, you can make your life here. Whereas, for Ireland, you don't need to learn any extra language, as English is the working language in Ireland. Moreover Ireland is the hub of IT, especially Dublin. Many big companies like Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Dell etc. Housed in Ireland. But, salaries are not that high in Ireland compare to France especially in Paris. Cost of living is also high in Ireland. Now comes to competition, France has more competition than Ireland to find a job. So make your decision wisely. Once have a look on your long term goals and finalize the country you want to work in.
