Dear Ranjita, I will advice you to try for IIT once again. IIT degrees are reputed all over the world. Studying in India will also lessen any financial burden. If however you don't get through an IIT pursue your MS abroad but from respectable universities. For the top universities please refer to QS Ranking.
Best Wishes

Yes you will definitely get good salary from MIT US. You may have to explain your choice of b.tech college but as long as you have excellent academic score, b.tech from low ranked college won't be fatal. It will just get a bit difficult to get into MIT. You will have to make sure you have extraordinary academics and involve in good projects.

Abroad masters all are more specialised programmes. This will make you more employable The education system abroad is totally different as you will have only few lectures per week. Based on lectures you will have group discussions and then you have to give assignments for each topics. Your assignments will be fed in to a software, which will identify and tell from where you have copied the contents. In such case they will ask you rewrite the assignments in your own words. surely it is worth studying abroad to make yourselves more employable in the Global market.
