Hi,
Find below the eligibility criteria to pursue MS degree from universities in US:
- Undergraduate degree in same or relevant discipline with good academic record preferably 60%-70% plus in graduation.
- High score in GRE.
- High scores in IELTS or TOEFL.
Preferred GRE score- 300 plus.
Preferred TOEFL score- 90 plus with no band less than 20.
Preferred IELTS score- 7 bands plus with no individual band below 6.5
Please note that the eligibility criteria for admission may differ from university to university.
Now coming to job scenario then please remember in the present day scenario there are not much job prospects in US.

It is evident from your post that you do not have aptitude for software and thus no point pursuing MS. Go for MBA and try to do it in International business or finance. i will also suggest that try to complete 3 years of work experience before you go for MBA in top-25 B-school after qualifying in CAT/MAT

I would further like to add a few points as far as MS in USA is concerned after Btech
Mahatab,
After a BTech, you can always go for an MS in the following fields
1) MS in Operation Research
2) MS in Decision Sciences
3) MS in Industrial Engg
These courses are a little mathematical in nature but provide good employment opportunities once you graduate.

To best answer your question, there are two things to consider. Purely from academic strength - US and UK are good for the program that you are looking for, as most universities in both these countries have strong research in structural engineering and given your percentage, you can make it to good ones.
But, the Civil as a sector is presently down in these countries, which means either your stay back or chances for relevant experience can be quite limited and competitive. Please remember before going for pursuing studies abroad you need to first decide does the course will be helpful for you i.e. does it provide good job opportunities in India or abroad.
Please remember the cost of education in universities abroad would be much more as compared to education in India, so you need to decide whether it is worth to invest such a big amount.

Hi,
After completing B.Tech you are eligible to pursue both the course you mentioned i.e MBA and MS.
If you wish to build your career in technical field then you may pursue MS, where as if you are interested in the field of management then you may opt for MBA.
Now coming to Germany, then please remember Germany is the best study destination to pursue MS in mechanical engineering and related fields, so if you wish to pursue MS then you may surely opt for Germany.
Now coming to MBA, them please remember in order to pursue MBA from good universities abroad , you need to have atleast 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation.
