Both have good career demand if completed with good score. In M.Sc (Math) the level of Physics is much easier than M.E.

You can appear for and qualify the UGC NET exam which is conducted at the national level. You can work as a lecturer in any college in India after clearing it.

After completing BE in civil engineering, M.Sc. in mathematics is not recommended. You should go for either M.Tech or MBA. You may do your M.Tech part time.
