Chances of rejection is likely, because you already have a Masters, you can first email the universities and evaluate your chances. Many universities have admission representatives, you should get in touch with them directly.

The NET is a national level exam, which is conducted for the determination of the candidates for assistant professor posts in the universities and colleges and for the junior research fellowship awards in the research field. There are some eligibility criteria you need to fulfill to be eligible for the exam as follows:
Complete the post-graduation degree from a recognized university with more than 55% marks. There is 5% marks relaxation for the reserved category candidates. There are different M.Sc Entrance exams like, IIT, JAM, TIFR, GS, Pune University exam etc., which you can apply.
