The UGC NET exam is a national level exam which is conducted twice a year for the selection of assistant professor in the university and colleges, to pursue the Ph.D. and for junior research fellowship award. The candidates are allowed to apply for the subject of their post graduation and its related subject. As uou have completed the M.Sc. In education you may apply for the UGC NET Education. Yes, you'll be eligible to take entrance. Just at the time of admission, you're supposed to show the Gap year affidavit.

For M.Sc Biotechnology, you can go for Punjab University, Delhi University. The admission is based on the entrance exam, and the syllabus is what you have studied in your graduation. Also, you can visit their official site for syllabus and admission procedure. As there are limited seats you have to get a good rank. Good luck.
