Applied microbiology is a subset of microbiology. Microbiology refers to the general study of microscopic organisms, while applied microbiology is the study of the way the microbial world interacts with our own and how we can utilize microbes in various processes.

The entrance test will be conducted by the Faculty of Science for admission to the course. Syllabus for the entrance test shall be of the graduate level of Food and Nutrition. The entrance test is scheduled for 2nd July.
