If you have research orientation then M.Sc Ph.D is a better option in comparison to B.Tech-M.Tech Biotechnology. If you want to work as an engineer or manager in biotech companies then B.Tech-M.Tech is a better option.

Eligibility for MTech Robotics in majority of universities is that the candidate should be BTech /BE in Electronics /Mechanical /Electrical /CSE / Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ EEE with minimum 60% marks. B.Tech Mechatronics students are treated equivalently to B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. Therefore, you will be eligible to seek admission in M.Tech Robotics after B.Tech Mechatronics.

B.Tech is better option than integrated M.
Tech as you get proper time to study for both the specializations. M.Tech is better if pursued in 2 years time with time devoted for projects. Only advantage of dual degree is time saving and 2 degrees in 5 years instead of 6.

I am of the opinion that B.Voc polymer and coating technology degree is a job oriented graduation degree and is not equivalent to 4-years engineering graduation degree. Therefore, you may not be eligible for M.Tech. You can check from AMU admission office for clear answer on your query.

If you do B.Tech software engineering from a prestigious Engineering college with good faculty and placement records, you can easily get a job in campus placement. If you do B.Tech from a below average Engineering college then you may have to do M.Tech from.a good college to get a good job.

I am not really clear about the distance learning program. Contacting the college of interest might help you get more information.
