IIS is in Rajasthan and is in Jaipur and is not an old and known name for Media Placements. This is one observation. When it comes to the placements as stated by the institution - IIS- itself we have the data available on their website: https://iisuniv.ac.in/ and that is not motivating. There are internships mentioned but there is not a big impressive list of employers making a beeline. It is also clarified that there are fewer Jobs to offer through Campus Placements in Media because there are no Mass Hirings like IT or Mechanical Engineering.
The profiles that are offered to any student who goes to the media job providers are like the following:
Reporter, Tv Anchor, Editor, Content Writer, Public Relations Officer, Content Editor, Video Editor, Cameraman, Screen Writer or Copy Writer, Event Manager Stage Anchor, Advertising and graphic Designer etc.

Amrita University has a good name for its institutions as well as for its innovative partnership with various stakeholders of education.
There is a good list of names who have taken the AU Kids to work with them.
The special things is that in South India, regional Tv Channels and Print Media is quite vast and there are enough jobs for skilled and talented people.

This list does not have Media Houses and That is why I shall not able to pronounce upon a judgement on the status of real placements. The observation from the filed and media houses is that the placements need improvements. Being a regional group of institutions, there are certain limitations, BUT for a good student there is no limitation and jobs shall come their way as college shall certainly approach the employers for media profiles. An advanced certificate (Considering it as something done from a reputed place as well as after graduation).

An M.Sc in advertising management is a very popular-innovative as well as the less taken domain of studying mass media or mass communication. While doing the course, one learns how to see the need, plan, use the USP and create USP of the product in hand. The management of advertising of a particular product is to be done to see the impact. Along with this, the question demands response to career prospects for public relations. Public relations, on the other hand, has similar notions. The jobs that can be done abroad or in India after pursuing an M.Sc advertising management as well as a Public Relations Management degree are:

It is good that the question mentions NEW MEDIA because the largest number of jobs in the Media domain is on the 'INTERNET and WEB' based platforms. When we say NEW MEDIA, we acknowledge that there are fewer Jobs in the traditional media profiles.
Film: Making of Documentaries, Direction and Production of Serials/Short Movies/Features or Video works in PR Departments and Universities as well. Media Units, as well as the Cultural Affairs Departments, can hire.
Understand that there is more PROJECT based association with the government than JOBS.
Television: The same applies here as well as for films. The additional Job available are those of actors, News and Special Programmes as for CEC, Gyan Darshan, IGNOU etc.
