The main degree is known as Journalism and Mass Communication. If one goes for this, in the later part, as in MBA, a specialisation is offered for more specialized study of particular field. This way, Advertising is a Specialisation in Journalism. Advertising and Public Relations is offered as a Master Degree or a PG Diploma under Journalism faculty.

I am not sure which location or state you want to go for the course but I can suggest about mass communication. Each stream of mass communication is worth if done properly. Advertising and PR, electronic media, internet journalism, film production, etc. are worth doing.

B.Sc MCAJ (Bachelors of Science in Mass communication and Journalism)
You can take up the following courses from the government and private institutes. Some of the best colleges that you can choose from are:
Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication (SCMC)
GGS, IPU
DCAC
AAFT
