I shall suggest a Degree/Graduation in the relevant stream. A Diploma is helpful after graduation, one has already evolved into a better learner by then. Go ahead for a degree because jobs will also need the minimum qualification as a degree.

Hello,
According to my point of view, I don't think from government Polytechnic, it will be useful to gain the knowledge of film and video editing.
Film and video editing are completely different spheres of a medium.
If you are eager to learn more about the film and video editing, in the field of film and entertainment, then I'll suggest you to join at some film or media institute.
I guess this suggestion might help you out and all the best for your future.

Hi Afreen!
No You don't need a portfolio to get admission in Mass Communication. You need to appear for its entrance exam that every college/University conducts for admissions. It will be an aptitude test which includes objective questions in Mathematics, English language, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge. You can prepare for the test either through the entrance exam preparation books or you can take coaching classes for the same. The admission will be based on the rank achieved in this test.
