A Bachelors degree (B.Sc or equivalent) earned in the 10+2+3 pattern from an accredited university is a prerequisite for admission to Government Rajindra College's M.Sc in Mathematics program in Bathinda. Only merit is used to determine admission. This postgraduate program is offered by Punjabi University in Patiala and lasts for two years full-time. Thirty seats are available for this self-funded program at the college.

Although it is not compulsory to have studied Mathematics as a subject in Class 11-12 level to apply for a BSc in Biotechnology course, students should have pursued the Science stream and studied Biology as a core subject.

The minimum eligibility requirement for BSc Biotechnology is to pass Class 10 and 12 with Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as core subjects, with min 50% overall (45% for SC/ST candidates), and 60% in each core subject.

As it is a BSc course, unlike BTech students who have done PCM or PCB in Class 12 are eligible for admission.
