Let  the  given  points  be  A(a,0,1)  and  B(0,1,2)∴  AB=(a−0)2+(0−1)2+(1−2)2  27=a2+1+1Squaring  both  sides,  we  get      27=a2+2     ⇒a2=25     ∴a=±5Hence,  the  correct  option  is  (b).
