MCA Eligibility

Candidates who have completed graduation in any stream with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category) can apply for the MCA course. Additionally, admission to St. Xavier's Bangalore MCA course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

For admission to BIT Mesra MCA course, eligibility criteria fulfilment is necessary. Thus, candidates should have passed BCA/BSc in Computer Science, Computer Application and IT with a minimum aggregate of 55% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) to be eligible. In addition, an aspirant should have passed the qualifying examination from a recognised university. Further, candidates should keep the documents handy at the time of admission form filling and admission confirmation. These documents are required for verification purposes.

Thapar University offers a two-year full-time MCA course at the postgraduate level. To be eligible for Thapar University MCA admission, candidates must have a Bachelors degree of a minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate. For TIET MCA admission, it is also mandatory that a student must have studied Mathematics at Class 12 level or at the graduation level. Acharya Nagarjuna University offers a two-year MCA programme. The courses can be studied full-time or online mode. For admission to the MCA programme, Candidates must qualify APICET exam. In the table given below, candidates can see the eligibility and selection criteria for the MCA programme:

Candidates who have passed graduation with Maths or graduation without Maths in Class 12/ BSc IT/ BCA can apply for Amity University Jaipur MCA course. Candidates without Mathematics in Class 12 or graduation, can still apply, by availing the option of a bridge course as per the norms of the university. Additionally, the university shortlists candidates for MCA course based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Once selection rounds are over, candidates need to confirm their seat. They are called for document verification and course fee payment to confirm admission.
