Eligibility criteria for admission in MCA at Institute of Distance & Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai: Candidates who have passed graduation in any faculty with the 45 percent marks in aggregate (40 percent marks for reserved category) and Mathematics at XII or higher level from a recognized Institute/ University are eligible to apply.

The eligibility criteria for MCA at VGU is graduation in any discipline from a recognised University/Institution, and selection will be based on VGUCET 2023, candidates seeking admission to VGU should require a valid score/rank for the admission process. The duration for MCA is two years for full time and the total fee is INR 2.40 lakh. Refer to the table for more understanding:

Candidates must pass graduation with Mathematics or graduation with Mathematics at Class 12 level/ BSc IT/ BCA to apply for MCA course. Candidates with no Mathematics at Class 12 or graduation level, can still apply, by availing the option of a bridge course as per the norms of the university. No direct admission is provided to candidates wishing to pursue MCA. Additionally, admission to MCA is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. M.C.A. BCA/BSc (IT/CS) with at least 50%marks or equivalent grade. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.

Only those candidates who have already completed their Graduation and are eligible to apply for Civil Services Examination 2024 need to apply for the RCA-JMI Entrance test.

The eligible candidates pursuing BCA should be 12th Grade Pass out with the subjects Mathematics or Business Math, Accounts, Information Technology or Multimedia and Computer Science. They should have scored a minimum of 50% or above in the qualifying exams.

Please write about the college name for better response. However the eligibility criteria of NIMCET 2023 for MCA admission is given below for an idea.

Eligibility criteria: Any UG programme of minimum 3 years with Mathematics/ Statistics as one subject with minimum 60% of marks.

So from above Mathematics/ Statistics in graduation is necessary requirement for MCA admission.

For admission to two-year MCA course at Chandigarh University, there is a minimum eligibility that needs to be fulfilled at the time of admission. As per the university's official website, those who are willing to get admission to MCA course at CU must pass graduation either in BCA or any equivalent UG degree in the respective subjects from a recognised university. If students get a UG degree in other streams such as BA/ BCom or BSc, they must have studied Mathematics as one of their main subjects.
