My honest review about my college.
Placements: We have placements but not upto the mark we like to compete with the B.Tech guys. They tend to be the real competition and sometimes companies won't even consider the MCA students. We have seen a lot of drop down in placement from 2015 onwards so there is nothing much left with MCA placement. College does not provide any internships, it is upto us if we can get to have some good internships that provide us with the real scenario of industry and working.
Infrastructure: Net is very old and obsolete. They will tell you that we teach up to date technology and will guarantee the placement also but they will never tell you that the companies. I was in hostel. The hostels are very expensive and they provide sub-standard quality of food. Also, there are four students in each room.
Faculty: We have good teachers with good experience but they are somewhat nuts when it comes to assignments. Some teachers are way too crazy when it comes to presentations. They are quite interactive and actively help students to gain the skill set required in the outside world. They even do live sessions like teaching with a projector and other presentations to give a wide sense of knowledge. The curriculum is quite easy and not at all hectic but the assignments can be a difficult task to do when teachers become rigid to get their assignments done on time. MCA is a very good course but the syllabus should be updated by the time. But they are still teaching syllabus which is 5 years old and not useful at all. They are still teaching computer languages like VB.

Campus journey in Chandigarh University.
Placements: Many campus placements are offered here. Many companies visit here so you can easily crack your placements. Many companies have visited here recently like TCS, Cognizant, Josh Technology, Swiggy, etc. According to your need you will crack college campus placements.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure is there under one umbrella. You have the whole world top to bottom like stationary, gym facilities, sports facilities, and many other things. In hostel, food quality is too good also. One interesting thing is that faculty members also eat the same hostel food so don't worry related to food. All classrooms are well maintained. All facilities are there with AC projector, smart board, and projector so don't need to worry.
Faculty: All faculty members are very professional and supportive inside and outside the college. They always encourage us. Also not too much difficult to pass the semester exam.
Other: I chose MCA because of my background and I am interested in software development.

The college is good and teachers are very supportive.
Placements: Placements are decent enough. If we are working hard for placements, then we will absolutely get that. I talked to the seniors and many of them got placements through the placement drive. There is also a separate placement drive in the university that will help us to achieve our dream faster and in an easy manner so that we will not face any trouble. Overall, the experience of placements is very good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the MCA course is average because MCA classes are held in the North campus which is in Kharar. The infrastructure of the main campus is very good but there are no classes for MCA students and only exams are held there. The hostel facility is good. The food of the hostel is overall very good. Four times a day they provide the food and there will be no entry or exit after 8 in a hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and supportive. If we get a scholarship then they will try to down our CGPA so that our scholarship will be no more. After every month, there is an internal exam called MST. If one unit is finished then there will be an exam for that unit so the experience of exams is very good. We learn a lot from that.

I had a good experience for two years while interacting with students.
Placements: For the 2023-2025 batch of MCA at Chandigarh University, around 400 out of 800 students are placed. Students with strong technical knowledge consistently get opportunities for placements. The university provides various training programs, workshops, and industry exposure to enhance students' skills and employability.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of both the course and hostel at Chandigarh University is quite good. Classrooms and labs are well-maintained, air-conditioned, and regularly cleaned, providing a comfortable learning environment. The hostel facilities are decent, with proper security and necessary amenities. The food provided in hostels is acceptable, neither very good nor very bad, offering a balanced diet with adequate variety.
Faculty: Faculty at Chandigarh University plays a crucial role in shaping students' academic journey. Teachers are not only knowledgeable but also highly supportive when it comes to solving doubts and enhancing students' performance. They are well-qualified, experienced, and dedicated to ensuring student receive the necessary guidance to excel in their respective fields. One of the key strengths of faculty is their approachability. Students can reach out to them during lectures, practical sessions, or even outside class hours for additional support.
Other: I am part of the MCA 2023-2025 batch at Chandigarh University. I choose this course due to my passion for software development and its vast career opportunities. The best aspects are the well-structured curriculum, experienced faculty, and practical exposure. However, more industry-oriented projects and advanced coding sessions could improve it. The university hosts vibrant events and fests with a diverse campus crowd. It has good connectivity, a well-maintained campus, and scholarship opportunities. Extracurricular activities like hackathons and technical clubs enhance learning beyond academics.

Chandigarh University is a vibrant and industry-focused experience.
Placements: Most students get placed, with around 80% securing placements. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Capgemini, TCS, and Infosys come for campus placements. It also provides summer training and internship opportunities. The placement process is very good, and the curriculum is modern and teacher-based.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure and big playgrounds. Events are happening throughout the year in various domains. The campus has full Wi-Fi, and a cafeteria is available for gathering and having lunch. Overall, it is a good environment, and students are creative and supportive.
Faculty: Faculty at Chandigarh University is generally very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Many professors possess extensive experience in their respective fields, which translates into high-quality teaching. They are often approachable and willing to assist students with their academic concerns. The university also brings in professors of practice, who are industry professionals who provide real-world experience to students. The teaching quality is commendable, with many professors using modern teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
Other: I chose computer science and engineering because of my passion for technology and problem-solving. Chandigarh University's program stands out due to its industry-oriented curriculum and strong placement record. The best things about the course are the hands-on projects, the knowledgeable faculty, and the exposure to cutting-edge technologies. Areas for Improvement. While the course is excellent overall, I believe that even more emphasis on real-world project simulations throughout the course could be beneficial. Also, some of the older lab equipment could be updated.

In terms of education, this college boosts your knowledge.
Placements: The college placement is quite decent and good. But it also depends on student's hard work and the type of skills learned during the course. Many companies, including Coding Ninjas, IBM, and Deloitte, come to pick up students on campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good for the Master of Computer Applications students. There is a separate campus called North Campus where the classes are for MCA students, which is not as good compared to the other campuses of the university.
Faculty: Faculty is good and very supportive in this course. Sometimes, they do competitions in class to motivate students in their work. There is a monthly exam called MST on the campus to boost students' knowledge and motivate them.
Other: If I talk about value for money in terms of infrastructure, then it would be no, but if I talk about education, then my answer is yes. There are 60 students in one class section, and one section has two parts, so there are 30 students in each class. Campus life is also very good while having friends.
